Centenary’s United Methodist Men’s Group and the Women’s Executive Committee approves partnership with CCM
Partnership approved
In a unanimous vote, the Centenary United Methodist Men’s Group approved a motion to partner with CCM for the upcoming school year at Cameron University.  The men pledged their support to the ministry that serves weekly lunches to the students, faculty, and staff of Cameron University.  Cameron Campus Ministry also hosts
public forums on campus including “Coexisting in a Multicultural World” and “Continuing the Conversation” with Lawton Police Chief James T. Smith. Bible studies also help students maintain their faith while attending school.  Mission trips and community volunteer service are also part of the ministry’s activities during the school year.

CCM is grateful to have their support.  Call us to find out how you can get involved (580)-699-2004.  Our office is located at 4121 W. Gore Boulevard in Lawton, OK.

Lectures and Studies

Last year, CCM hosted small group studies as well as lectures on various topics of interest to students.  Small group studies covered topics such as Adam Hamilton’s “Making Sense of the Bible”,

“Steering the Ecumenical Ship in the 21st Century” by Oklahoma Conference of Churches Executive Director, Dr. William Tabbernee.

Loaves & Fishes Continues to serve Cameron Students, Faculty, and Staff
Making a difference one student at a time
Students, faculty, and staff enjoy our weekly “Loaves and Fishes” lunch.  Our Fall 2016 average was 67.  Our Spring 2017 average was 85.  Several students, as a result of this program, have expressed their desire to be a part of what CCM is doing on campus and in the community.  You can help this ministry by volunteering to help make sandwiches or serving the students, faculty, and staff on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Call us to find out more (580) 699-2004.

CCM board directors and students volunteered at the Lawton Food Bank during the Thanksgiving holiday.  The regional food bank serves 53 counties in Oklahoma.  Call the Lawton Food Bank, (580) 353-7994, to find out how you can help.
CCM hired Cameron graduate Peter Macias to serve as Student Ministries Coordinator. Peter has been affiliated with CCM since 2011.

CCM was able to secure a new location at 4121 W Gore Blvd.  We are still thriving and will continue to do so with your help.  Thank you for all you do.
